We are seeking a skilled Support Care Assistant to deliver essential assistance to individuals experiencing significant visual impairment in their workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and understand the individual's strengths and support requirements, tailoring assistance to enhance their work experience.
- Facilitate workplace independence and growth by providing suitable and effective support.
- Collaborate with employers to implement reasonable adjustments and leverage assistive technologies that cater to the individual's specific needs.
- Encourage the individual to engage in training and development opportunities available within the organization, similar to their colleagues.
- Promote inclusivity among staff members within the business.
- Adhere to the policies and practices of Values Into Action Scotland, including Health & Safety, Adult Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities, and other relevant guidelines.
- Report to the Senior Lead Consultant, actively participating in supervision and support processes, and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Demonstrate a willingness to undertake any training provided (desirable).
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (desirable).
- Respect for diversity and inclusion (essential).
- Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications (desirable).
- Possess values, ethics, and skills fundamental to social care practice (essential).
Compensation: £00 per hour
