Sitting within the Leadership and Organisational Development Team the Leadership Development Business Partner role is pivotal in developing strong, effective, kind leadership across the organisation.


The focus of this role is primarily on ensuring that our people who manage and lead people currently feel confident, knowledgeable, skilled, and inspired in carrying out their roles across our business and there are clear pathways of development for colleaguewho aspire to be leaders of the future.

Growing our Leaders supports us in ensuring that we can consistently and compassionately support the delivery of kind, personalised care, and support, to the more than twenty thousand individuals we care for in our homes.

The role is integral to creating a culture of learning, continual professional growth and strong, effective, compassionate leadership.

It provides an opportunity for you to work consultatively with business stakeholders and external providers to develop anddeliver value for money, innovative and impactful learning programmes aligned to HC-One values and mission.


The scope of the role includes using your learning and development expertise to input into and lead on organisational wide projects linked to Growth, Culture Leading and Managing people.


This role is home based with frequent travel, particuarly across the North East of England and Scotland.

You are a confident communicator who creates credible and professional relationships at all levels.

You have experience in designing and facilitating high quality learning resources, using appropriate technology to present a blended approach which deliversquality and value for money.


You have applied practical knowledge of leading and managing individuals and teams, coaching, and developing existing leaders and working in partnership with other areas and stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.


With a Training / Teaching qualification, and ideally CIPD qualified, you will have comprehensive knowledge and experience of developing and facilitating learning and growth programmes within a large and complex organisational setting.


Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns.

All colleagues are requiredto attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

HC-One offers professional residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for older people.
