Job Role

MIB is a not-for-profit organisation at the heart of the fight against uninsured driving.

This is a problem that seriously affects the lives of those involved in road accidents and costs millions of pounds every year.

We work in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government to tackle uninsured driving.

Our Head of Market Insight and CRM will lead the market insight team and be responsible for understanding and liaising with key MIB customers and the wider market in order to inform MIB's strategy and operational delivery.

Key Outputs

  • Lead and develop a team of Customer Relationship Managers.
  • Oversee qualitative and quantitative analysis from national and international markets, to identify and inform future product development and strategy, ensuring that all activity has our customers at the heart of its focus.
  • Ensure that a customerfocused and evidenceled approach drives future prioritisation.
  • Analyse complex datasets, identify trends and emerging innovation in the market.
  • Present market insight to MIB colleagues and stakeholders to guide and challenge them to make informed decisions about how their activity can benefit MIB's customers.
  • Keep up to date with key announcements and events taking place in the market, sharing the information with relevant departments at MIB
  • Be a key member of the Operational Committee team, to ensure that the delivery of market research and development activities are aligned to the wider business plan, organisational strategic aims and objectives.
  • Own and deliver all associated KRIs relating to the Market Insight team.
  • Collaborate, network and use effective professional relationships with peers and industry contacts to gather a deep understanding of the market and build MIB's reputation as an organisation that understands and delivers for customers.
  • Oversee an ongoing programme of market research spanning a broad range of customers which helps identify issues for further exploration and development.
  • Develop and maintain a range of external professional links and networks to facilitate service benchmarking and improvements.

Qualifications and Education

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience of leading, managing and developing a team, maintaining a collaborative and constructive working environment within a department and across the organisation.
  • Detailed knowledge of the insurance industry and the key issues affecting it.
  • First class communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and emerging ideas to a broad audience.
  • Demonstrable and effective influencing and negotiating skills with proven success in building productive professional relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic and business planning methods.
  • Experience of budget management and control
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • The ability to manage complex stakeholders and partnering relationships.
Salary circa £115,000 per annum
£320 (before tax) start up allowance
