Our esteemed local authority client is looking for a dynamic Debt Recovery Administrator to strengthen the team in Usk. You will collaborate with fellow Debt Recovery Officers, playing a crucial role in managing client account debts and reaching out to clients to aid in recovering overdue payments. In some cases, you will also interact with clients in the community to build relationships and provide guidance on the recovery process.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively chase outstanding payments through calls, letters, or meetings as per guidelines
• Maintain a detailed record of all recovery actions taken
• Conduct debt checks when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to address client requirements
• Monitor received payments and handle internal data
• Negotiate payment plans and oversee instalments when required
• Process and document any written-off debts
• Generate progress reports on caseload

Requirements:

• Local to the area with personal transportation
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the public
• Experience in handling numbers such as Finance Administration or credit control
• Proficient in basic IT tools like Excel, Word, and email
• Organized and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Immediate availability or short notice period
