**HMP Administrator
Hours: 15 hours per week
**Salary**: £21,312.23 per annum (pro rata)
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata)
Period of Notice: 1 week during probation; 4 weeks thereafter
Probationary Period: 6 months
Based at: HMP Prescoed / HMP Usk

Adferiad Overview
Adferiad Recovery delivers a flexible and coordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced
by people with co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions and related issues. Vulnerable
people facing complex life challenges need consistent and seamless support to ensure they remain
engaged with vital health and wellbeing services - and to prevent them becoming disenfranchised and
isolated.
Adferiad Recovery harnesses the talents and experience of long-established and leading Welsh
charities CAIS, Hafal and WCADA. Our combined expertise in the fields of substance use, mental
health, housing, criminal justice, and employment support enables Adferiad Recovery to meet the
needs of our most vulnerable with a single, unified, and comprehensive approach.
Job Purpose:
The Dyfodol Administrator role is a pivotal role in contributing to the development of quality of the
Dyfodol Service in the custodial estate.
Reporting directly to the Dyfodol Service Manager, you will support the team to deliver consistently
high-quality services to substance users that adhere to best practice guidelines, including the
development and facilitation of service user and carer involvement.
You will represent Adferiad, Dyfodol and HM Prison Service in a professional manner at all times.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide administrative support to the Dyfodol Service Manager and Dyfodol Team.
- To carry out general administrative duties, including dealing with word processing, filing, and
photocopying, as required by the Senior Dyfodol Practitioner and Dyfodol Performance
Manager.
- To be responsible for answering the general office telephone and dealing with enquiries as
appropriate.
- Use management Information systems to input and reconcile data accurately and on a timely
basis.
- Proactively liaise with the staff to develop, evaluate, and improve data collection systems and
procedures.
- Collate data and prepare monthly performance reports in conjunction with the Senior Dyfodol
Practitioner and Dyfodol Performance Manager.
- Co-ordinate and liaise all relevant communications between Adferiad Head Office and the
Dyfodol Team.
- Maintain accurate records and collection of information for monitoring and evaluating
effectiveness and quality of service.
- Liaise, where appropriate, with relevant prison departments and be a point of contact for other
agencies inside and outside the prison.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all supplies, including stationery, are correctly ordered and
ensure that all office equipment is in working order.
- Take part in team meetings and supervision sessions as required by the Service Manager.
- Attend supervision to ensure competency and confidence in administrative duties.
- Contribute to the development of the establishment substance misuse strategy and
implementation plan.
- Work flexibly to agreed hours to ensure the most appropriate level of service provision. This may
include weekend or evening working.
