Finance Business Partner – Technology & Capital at Haven

Haven is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. As a Finance Business Partner, you'll be responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic guidance to various teams, with a focus on Technology and Capital. Your role will involve running investment appraisals, writing business cases, tracking project performance, and overseeing direct reports to enhance team capabilities and productivity.

Your Opportunity:
  • Lead investment appraisal processes for capital projects, including Technology.
  • Collaborate with Capital planning teams to align investment appraisal methodologies with strategic planning.
  • Implement continuous improvement approaches to tracking spending in Technology and Capital.
  • Apply professional skepticism to assess projects periodically using measurable financial metrics.
  • Ensure alignment of projects with business plans and priorities.
  • Provide guidance and input into decision-making processes.
  • Foster a risk-intelligent culture by challenging the business.
  • Translate complex financial analysis into understandable language for non-finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities in capital and technology procurement.
  • Contribute to the budget process, focusing on capital rationing and cash flow budgets.
  • Host business reviews and present insights to teams.
  • Collaborate with finance and BI teams to develop standard reports for performance analysis.
  • Contribute to periodic reporting and attend external meetings to provide insights to senior management.

  • Effective communication skills for conveying financial information.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and time management.
  • Post Qualified experience in Professional Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience in cross-functional teamwork and driving financial initiatives.
  • Track record in developing strategic financial plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Initiative, integrity, and engagement to strengthen financial compliance.
  • Leadership in ensuring team awareness of financial regulations and standards.
