Exciting Opportunity: Wind Engineering Manager at an International Renewable Energy Company in London

OXBO Recruitment is thrilled to collaborate with an international owner, operator, and investor of renewable energy projects in their search for a Wind Engineering Manager at their London offices. In this role, you will be spearheading onshore wind engineering initiatives, providing crucial support to project teams, and ensuring corporate assurance on onshore wind engineering and technology matters. This is a unique chance to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector

Responsibilities:
  • Lead onshore wind engineering and technology efforts throughout project stages and M&A opportunities.
  • Develop and uphold onshore wind engineering processes, standards, and team leadership.
  • Offer technical support to project teams during pre-construction and construction phases.
  • Assist in wind turbine selection, procurement, and adherence to project delivery standards.
  • Support asset management by evaluating wind turbine performance and addressing operational challenges.
  • Create strategies for evaluating asset life and overseeing wind asset integrity.
  • Conduct technical due diligence for operational projects and acquisitions, coordinate with advisors, and contribute to risk assessments and value addition.
  • Establish financial assumptions, participate in site visits and tests as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field

Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in onshore wind turbines from involvement in renewable power projects in various capacities such as asset owner, technical advisor, turbine OEM, or service contractor.
- Previous experience in team management is an advantage.

Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of onshore wind turbine systems and suppliers.
- Familiarity with certification, suitability, and fatigue modeling.
- Proficient in negotiating turbine supply and service agreements.
- Experience with SCADA monitoring and third-party analytics tools for reliability and performance analysis.
