The Opportunity – National Account Manager (Foods Division):

  • Solent Group is looking for a dynamic National Account Manager to establish relationships with customers and manufacturing partners.
  • You will be responsible for developing existing accounts and seeking new business opportunities to enhance our prestigious portfolio.
  • We seek an experienced National Account Manager in FMCG (preferably foods) with a proven track record in maintaining and expanding a customer base.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a drive to exceed expectations are essential qualities for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate customer-specific sales plan/strategy.
  • Work independently with a pre-set sales strategy to meet account-specific budgets.
  • Understand customer KPIs, targets, and performance reviews to achieve category standards.
  • Support the wider sales team and assist colleagues with their accounts.
  • Lead project implementation, coordinating milestones and progress with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing national accounts, ideally top 6 grocers.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Essential experience in Retail/FMCG/Food, ideally with top 6 grocers.
  • Familiarity with product categories such as Foods/Manufacturing or Private Label.
  • Experience in Critical Path Management, Resource Planning & Allocation, and Project Risk Assessment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
