The Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacist to join our team in Virtual Wards. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of virtual care services.
Main Responsibilities
As a Lead Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of virtual care services
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care
- Developing and maintaining clinical guidelines and protocols
- Providing education and training to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
- A Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or evidence of equivalent experience
- Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Extensive post-qualification experience in hospital or interface pharmacy services
- Proven experience as a specialist clinical pharmacist
- Evidence of writing clinical guidelines and implementing national directives
Desirable Criteria
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
- Leadership/management qualification or working towards
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
- Experience as a Clinical Pharmacy tutor to trainee and post-registration foundation level pharmacists
