Account Manager Job Description

As an integral member of our team, the Account Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to support the smooth running and growth of their associated portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and to associated KPIs.
  • Negotiate pricing, expand business opportunities, and further develop key accounts through excellent customer service and account management.
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and handle any associated queries or issues that arise during the allocation and movement of stock.
  • Respond to incoming calls and email queries relating to shipment, delivery, stock updates, or new order requirements.
  • Prepare relevant documents in line with the requirements of exporting goods out of the UK.
  • Work closely with the end customer, external transport/logistics companies, and the wider team to ensure the customer receives the best service at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, with excellent customer service skills and previous experience managing relationships with customers and third-party associates.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Previous experience working on CRM/ERP packages would be ideal, with confidence to learn new systems.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
