The Role
This is an opportunity to become part of a high performing events operations team in a fast-growing global B2B conference business.
As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end logistics for both physical and digital events, ensuring we deliver best in class customer experiences for delegate and sponsor customers, aligned to theirs and our objectives, translating these into proposed designs which utilise the latest in experience design thinking and event technologies. To do so you will work closely with the entire events team.
You will be responsible for managing the event delivery to the agreed budgeted costs and for sourcing and negotiating required venue contracts and suppliers.
The Person
We are looking for experienced Operations managers working in the B2B events space with the following background:
- First class communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence senior players and gain credibility and trust amongst internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrable live event expertise, with proven experience of delivering significant and complex event projects to time and budget targets.
- Diplomacy and tact, and the ability to recognise, acknowledge and respect individual and group motivations without losing focus on achieving agreed objectives.
- Track record of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Understanding of exhibitions is advantageous.
