What you'll do

You'll be required to prepare cost estimates, comprehensive proposals and project plans for future work whilst taking responsibility as the technical lead within the traincrew diagramming discipline for specific projects and then within the traincrew rostering disciplines.

There will also be a requirement to specify the work, engage with the technical detail of the work itself and oversee the outputs of other consultants (including a thorough approach to Quality Assurance).

Who you'll be

We want to make sure you're set for success so the key skills we're looking for in the role are below.

We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we'll provide training on some of the areas if you're the right person for the role.

An expert in train crew diagramming or rostering discipline.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
Technical leadership
Technical report writing skills
Excellent communication skills
Have a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrable experience of understanding project management principles and their importance in the context of deadline/budget focussed work
Be technically capable, able to adapt to new software tools quickly
