Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join our highly skilled and dynamic Legal department. This role will be reporting into the General Counsel & VP Governance & Corporate Affairs, and Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management.

The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our office in Leamington Spa, Warwick where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

In this role you will assess the effectiveness of the business' internal controls, risk management processes, and overall governance procedures. You will also contribute to the establishment of new processes for this exciting startup business and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal controls framework under development. You will lead and execute internal audit engagements, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance across our business whilst fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.

What you will do:


•Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive internal audit program tailored to the specific objectives, risks and regulatory requirements of our business.


•Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of operational, financial, and compliance risk and deficiency, providing strategic recommendations for mitigations.


•Plan, execute, and manage internal audit engagements, including evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, processes, and procedures.


•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


•Prepare and present detailed audit reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee, facilitating informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


•Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations, tracking progress and providing guidance to ensure timely and effective resolution of identified issues.


•Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments within the automotive sector, proactively advising on potential impacts and opportunities for enhancement.


•Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements and automation within the Legal & Corporate Affairs function.

Who you are:


•Able to operate in a fast-paced rapidly growing business environment


•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and chartered accountant qualified (CA/ACCA).


•Broad experience with a deep understanding of auditing standards, methodologies, and practices including the ICFR control framework.


•Subsequent experience in internal audit, risk management, or related fields within an automotive or technology industry, with a strong understanding of sector regulatory requirements


•Proven expertise in conducting risk assessments, designing internal control frameworks, and implementing audit programmes in complex, multinational organisations


•Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to drive business performance.


•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.


•Demonstrated management capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate others towards achieving common goals.


•Sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of work.
