Pertemps are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to work with a Glasgow based client on a temporary basis.


Pay Rate:
£ 17.75 per hour

Start Date:

ASAP

Contract Length:
Temporary ongoing

Location:
Clydebank (G81)

Hours:35 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute effectively to the development planning process.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements and policies.
  • Supervise and provide daily management and direction to the Health and Safety Admin staff.
  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies/plans/processes/procedures.
  • Carry out systematic inspections at agreed frequencies and make recommendations.
  • Provide competent advice, information, guidance and support to managers on relevant health and safety legislation and good practice
  • Carry out investigations into specific accidents and incidents advising on appropriate action to prevent recurrence.

Key Skills:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Relevant HNC (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent
  • Experience of conducting health and safety inspections and accident/incident investigations.
  • Experience in assisting with preparing and implementing Health and Safety Operational Plans.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and good practice.
  • Ability to plan and organise workload effectively to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
