Senior Immigration Consultant - US Consular


Fragomen's US Consular team is looking for a Senior Immigration Consultant to join our team in London or Sheffield on a full-time permanent basis.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that cases are billed on to clients correctly and in a timely manner
  • Attend training in order to develop relevant technical knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Build relationships and contacts with Consulates, High Commissions and keep abreast of current issues
  • Liaise with other Fragomen offices with developments and changes of consular policies and procedures
  • Support the team with ensuring the strategy and record keeping maintenance of their work
  • Identifying and escalating HR issues to the Manager
  • Identifying and advising on training needs for the team
  • Tracking the billing of completed cases for the team
  • Supporting the onboarding of new staff
  • Other consular related projects as directed

About you:
You will have previous US immigration experience and a strong background in a client facing role.

Also required:

  • Ability to follow the instructions of senior members of staff
  • Develop strong working relationships with team members and gains their confidence through displaying professionalism and efficiency in all communications
  • Able to plan workload often with conflicting deadlines, able to meet deadlines and priorities for own work, taking into account delivery expectations and agreed client service standards
  • Proven ability to generate clear, wellorganized written work and able to effectively express oneself verbally in an articulate and polished manner
  • Strong listening skills
  • Accurate work style; focus on details
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Fragomen in the UK:
Our UK team is made up of over 600 people working across two offices, based in London and Sheffield.

Both offices are centrally located in their respective cities, with the Sheffield office having the added bonus of free on-site parking.

Our people work collaboratively and dynamically in a positive environment, with over 20 different languages being spoken.
