Full job description:
As Finance Manager, you will play an important role in making sure the organisation runs smoothly.

You will be making sure they pay suppliers on time, keep accurate records, submit monthly payroll correctly and on time, reconcile and manage revenue from customers, manage finance software and you will oversee banking and purchases.


The role responsibilities include:

  • Managing the finances and financial processes of the agency
  • Reconciliation of accounts including customer invoices and payments
  • Maintaining invoice filing systems
  • Managing and coordinating monthly, quarterly, annual reporting, budgeting processes.
  • Ensuring payroll is correct and submitted on time.
  • Day to day accounts tasks such as accounts payable, invoicing, collection, supplier invoices and payment, staff expenses, pensions and payroll, plus HR docs.
  • Monitoring cash flow.
  • Liaising with accountant, pension advisor, solicitor.
  • Supporting the month-end account management process.
  • Producing the profit and loss and balance sheet.
  • Purchase ledger duties.
  • Maintaining petty cash and spreadsheets.
  • Accounts reconciliations.
  • Credit control
  • Dealing with utilities, landlord re office maintenance and stationery
Skills Required

  • Experience in a similar Finance Administrator or support role
  • Knowledge of personnel legislation required in dealing with staff remuneration.
  • Calculation of staff salaries together with holiday pay, sick pay and pension contributions.
  • IT literate - ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, data handling, internet and email software.
  • Personal integrity and an ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information.
Experience Needed
Some experience in a similar / relevant finance role.

  • Accountancy experience over 5 years
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial management in an SME
  • Commercially driven
  • Proficient in using Quickbooks accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player
  • IT literate and a great communicator
Ideally an understanding of Charity VAT and zero rating where applicable
Hours of Work
The role of Finance Manager is a part time one of 16 – 20 hours a week.

Working hours are flexible and the job is working from home/remotely but with a requirement to 4 hours per week in the office (either a Tuesday or Wednesday).
