It's an exciting time to join Corre Energy, a high-growth organisation in the renewable energy sector.

Corre Energy are currently achieving high levels of public, private and EU funding to undertake a growing number of energy storage projects in Europe and the United States.

The Group will develop, build and operate grid-scale hydrogen based underground energy storage facilities.

Position:

Some background in accounting and finance, either from previous work experience or from academic study is required. There is a degree of manual processing, which requires attention to detail. It is therefore imperative you are highly organised with a keen eye for detail.


This is a full-time role, the team is based in Bristol and you will need to attend the office (near Colston Hall) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote working for the rest of the week.


Requirements:

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Purchase ledger: Processing invoices and purchase orders, chasing colleagues for approvals, responding to supplier queries and processing payments.
  • Processing expenses: Processing expense claims, ensuring compliance with the Expenses Policy.
  • Processing payroll: adding new employees to the payroll system, processing payroll payments, responding to staff queries. Interacting with external payroll and pension providers and tax authorities where necessary.
  • Performing bank reconciliations: inputting transactions from bank statements and reconciling accounting records to bank statements.
  • Ensuring that intercompany transactions are recorded correctly in all Group companies, and that intercompany accounts are reconciled.
  • Bank accounts: manage bank accounts including managing staff access and bank cards.
  • Monitoring the Finance inbox, responding and forwarding where appropriate.
  • Responding to information requests from colleagues and external parties such as auditors / incountry payroll partners as required.
  • Identifying and implementing changes and process improvements as the Finance function grows and matures.

Other information:

  • Some background in accounting and finance, either from previous work experience or from academic study.
  • Strong customer service skills, i.e. a desire to go beyond the basics to provide a great service to colleagues and external parties.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Selfstarter: the ability to see what is not working and suggest improvements, then follow these through to completion.
  • Desire to grow with the business as the business grows.

  • Experience with accountancy software.
  • Strong academic record.
