We are looking for an Administration Assistant towork as part of a team providing a full administrative service to ensure thesmooth operation of community based diagnostic clinics.

Job Type: Full Time - hours per week

Hours: 8hr shifts - Monday Friday

Pay: £ per hour

Main duties of the job

The role will involve dealing with referrals, filing, booking new and follow up appointments, tracking patients through the system, recording data to monitor access times and the maintaining of accurate records of clinics on the computerised Patient Administration System EMIS.

To provide additional administrative support within the company as required.

Accountable to : Head of Planned Care

Job Type: Full Time - hours per week

Schedule: 8hr shifts - Monday Friday

Pay: £ per hour

Job purpose :

To work as part of a team providing a full administrative service to ensure the smooth operation of community based diagnostic clinics.

This will involve dealing with referrals, filing, booking new and follow up appointments, tracking patients through the system, recording data to monitor access times and the maintaining of accurate records of clinics on the computerised Patient Administration System EMIS.

To provide additional administrative support within the company as required.

Key responsibilities:

To ensure agendas for meeting are up to date and correct. To collate patient satisfaction results. To keep all patients, letter up to date and ERS & ODS Code are correct. To make sure all audits are up to date. To inform, by telephone or in writing, patients/carers of the time and date of the appointment and to ensure that all relevant information is sent in good time for the appointment. To follow systems and procedures to ensure that each patients journey is managed effectively and in a timely fashion. To ensure that patient information is available to relevant healthcare professionals, when it is required. To assist in the development of systems to ensure continued efficiency. To assist in improving the quality of information provided to patients at all times. Working with the Deputy Head of Planned Care and other key staff within the company to develop effective administrative processes, to ensure the accuracy of information held on the waiting lists. To ensure all information collected is held securely and in confidence. To answer the telephone in a courteous and pleasant manner at all times To undertake relevant training where necessary. To respond quickly to requests for information in accordance with policies and procedures and to be responsible for following the procedures relating to data quality standards for health records. To know how accurate and timely data collection helps the company deliver patient care now and in the future. General office duties including photocopying. To carry out other relevant duties as instructed by the Deputy Head of Planned Care.
