Senior AV Event Technician at Kinly

The Senior AV Event Technicians key responsibility is managing and overseeing on-site and virtual event AV services between Kinly and the client. Reporting to the Client Service Manager, the Senior AV Event Technician collaborates with the Service Manager to assist in AV planning, processes, and management of technical equipment for onsite live events, webinars, and hybrid events. They are also responsible for managing Event Technicians, ensuring compliance of all AV tech processes.

This role involves extensive client interaction and close collaboration with Senior internal Event Manager, Event Producers, executive management, and partners to deliver top-notch service in all Audio Visual-related aspects of event services. As a senior team member, maintaining integrity and professionalism is crucial to set the team's standard.

The Senior AV Event Technician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

EVENTS SUPPORT

  • Running AV events and conducting pre-event testing.
  • Live Audio/Vision mixing and camera operation.
  • Zoom/Teams call set-up for hybrid events.
  • Being the primary contact for event coordination.
  • Attending pre-production meetings and managing global production events.
  • Assuming ownership of event experiences and providing operational support for high-profile events.
  • Identifying and reporting hardware failures promptly.
  • Producing event reports to analyze space utilization.

LIVE WEBINAR SUPPORT

  • Setting up and running live webinars.
  • Streaming using Telestream Wirecast or equivalent platforms.
  • Providing guidance on best practices and supporting virtual events.
  • Having a working knowledge of virtual technologies like Zoom, Teams, and RTMP.

GENERAL AV MEETING ROOM SUPPORT

  • Maintaining event spaces and assisting with AV equipment set-up and support.
  • Providing multimedia meeting room support and responding quickly to requests.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Collecting and entering client statistical data and maintaining documentation.
  • Participating in client and team meetings and managing Event Team Rota.
  • Enhancing site documentation including SOPs and Risk Assessments.
  • Assisting in scheduling to meet SLA agreements.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Preparing best practice documentation and sharing events knowledge.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure effective resource allocation for events.
  • Building client relationships and focusing on service improvements.
  • Identifying areas for operational enhancements and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
