We are hiring a Technical Events Manager in London to join the Broadcast Events Services Team, working closely with a top corporate banking company.
This position involves overseeing a team of Senior Technicians and Technicians to offer comprehensive event services, including technical coordination, AV/VC services, and event management, ensuring top-notch customer service and seamless experiences for event organizers.
The perfect candidate should have a strong technical background, experience in event planning and delivery, exceptional problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and expertise in audio-visual systems and project management.
A part of System One Services, The Dreamtek Group specializes in providing innovative solutions for digital experiences, covering Virtual/Hybrid Events, Video Production, Studio Builds, and Talent services for AV, Events & Production industries.
- Manages, mentors, and trains a team of senior technicians and technicians.
- Evaluates team and individual skills, and implements training programs for skill development.
- Conducts performance evaluations through formal and informal channels.
- Prepares and delivers business review meetings to identify trends and find solutions for service enhancement.
- Collaborates with clients to plan and execute offsite events.
- Oversees event planning, staffing, and execution in fully equipped event spaces.
- Owns the technical support lifecycle, managing stakeholder experience and technical risks.
- Supports in planning and executing domestic and international offsite events.
- Reports technical issues and collects necessary information for fault forms within agreed timelines.
- Ensures SOPs and contingency plans are followed in event support.
- Leads R&D efforts to enhance output quality through technology advancements.
- Creates SOP documents and detailed event reports.
- Performs ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of technical live event production experience.
- Proficiency in operating AV systems and broadcast equipment.
- Experience in managing AV and Events technicians.
- Willingness to work beyond standard hours and travel as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
