Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximising bedroom sale opportunities.
  • Assist in keeping the Reception area clean and tidy
  • Administer all reservations, cancellations and noshows, in line with Company policy.
  • Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to Head of Department or Management
  • Provide reports as required for other departments
  • To ensure that all accounting procedures during AM and PM shifts are being adhered to and all monies handled within the department balance at the end of each shift.
  • To ensure all administration procedures are maintained and updated constantly to provide current information including updating files and guest information.
  • To maintain effective and prompt communication with guests, colleagues and managers with regard to visitors, messages, bleep systems and to liaise with all other departments when necessary.
  • To ensure effective communication within the department.
  • To understand and have a working knowledge of all hotel procedures regarding front of house rates and promotional activity.
