Join our team at the Howden Site in East Yorkshire as an Engineering Group Leader where you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and controlling maintenance and engineering activities to ensure top-notch asset performance, reliability, and quality.

  • Shift Pattern:
  • Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6am-6pm
  • Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - 6am-6pm, Wednesday, Thursday - 6pm-6am
  • Week 3 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 6pm-6am
  • 7 days off

Responsibilities as an Engineering Group Leader:

  • Implement world-class maintenance methods
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis for reliability and quality enhancement
  • Conduct practical problem-solving to minimize downtime
  • Develop PM work orders and calibration standards for critical assets
  • Improve maintenance and asset KPI's
  • Manage spares and component life cycle
  • Plan and allocate work for the maintenance team
  • Oversee maintenance interventions on critical assets
  • Undertake training needs assessments and develop team behaviors
  • Coordinate equipment Risk Assessments and SOP's
  • Ensure completion of statutory maintenance work orders on time
  • Manage contractor activities

Requirements for the role:

  • Formal Health and Safety qualification
  • CIEH Level 3 Health & Safety
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred)
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Continuous Improvement and Supervisory experience
