Our client operates multiple brands within the shopping centre and grocery sector throughout the UK and Ireland, including the operation of Leisure Vending Machines, Online retail as well as the provision of Gift Card services.
As a company, our client are passionate about the continuous improvement of their products, our processes and most importantly, their people.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting goods: Receive incoming shipments, check for damages, verify quantities, and ensure that goods match the provided documentation (e.g., purchase orders, packing lists).
- Unloading and loading: Safely and efficiently unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles and load outgoing shipments onto transport vehicles.
- Stocking and shelving: Properly store received goods in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring the inventory is organized, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Order picking: Retrieve goods from shelves or storage areas according to pick lists or customer orders, making sure to accurately pick the correct items and quantities.
- Inventory management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, regularly update inventory databases, and conduct periodic stock counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Quality control: Inspect products for defects or damages and report any issues to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Operate machinery: Use various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.
- Health and safety compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Order fulfilment: Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, meeting deadlines for shipping and delivery.
- Housekeeping: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring that walkways and work areas are clear and free from hazards.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, report any issues, and collaborate effectively.
- Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to security, safety, and operating standards.
- Continuous improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and optimize workflow.
