A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reporting Finance Manager to join a successful and consistently growing Fintech/FS company based in Southampton.
This role requires a qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and an eyefor detail, who can lead on reporting requirements and liaise effectively with internal and external partners to deliver statutory, regulatory and lender reporting to an excellent standard.
This role will be based in Southampton on a hybrid working format with occasional travel to the London officeDuties & responsibilities
- Statutory reporting lead, preparing financial statements at individual entity and consolidated level for all group companies under both FRS102 and IAS
- Technical accounting lead, investigating options on accounting treatment, providing recommendations, and delivering any required process or reporting changes, liaising with all relevant internal and external parties as appropriate.
- Assist with yearend processes including, but not limited to, yearend journals, audit engagement and financial statements preparation in accordance with FRS102 and IAS.
- Regulatory reporting lead, preparing all FCA returns required for group entities.
- Facility reporting lead, preparing all weekly, monthly and quarterly facility reporting for backers.
- Ownership of the chart of accounts, ensuring the accounting system aligns with the structure and granularity required for statutory, regulatory and management information reporting requirements.
- Key contributor to external audit work streams.
- To undertake any other ad hoc activities as requested
Skills and Experience required
- A qualified accountant with strong academics, significant relevant work experience and a track record in delivering technical accounting change, statutory reporting and regulatory reporting, ideally within financial services
- Strong competency in reporting requirements under FRS102 and IAS
- Working knowledge of IAS39 and FRS
- Ability to liaise with colleagues, external partners, auditors and independent advisers
- Recommend technical approach and lead on the delivery of any process and reporting changes
- An enquiring mind, keen to develop and grow and strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Understanding of debt securitisation reporting is an advantage
