Mission

As a Cyber Security Analyst at Sidetrade, your mission is to safeguard the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats. This role involves proactive monitoring, analysis, and response to security incidents, as well as the implementation of security measures to prevent future breaches. You will collaborate closely with IT teams and other departments to ensure top-notch security levels.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Continuously monitoring security systems like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Analysing security alerts, logs, and identifying potential threats, anomalies, and vulnerabilities.
  • Responding to security incidents, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Documenting incidents, responses, and lessons learned through detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Staying updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Conducting threat analysis and providing actionable intelligence to protect the organization.
  • Managing regular vulnerability assessments.
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Performing risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Collaborating with IT and other departments to design and implement secure systems and processes.
  • Engaging with external partners, vendors, and regulators on security matters.
  • Compiling and presenting security metrics reports based on KPIs, KGIs, and technical compliance.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of security processes and tools.
  • Implementing security enhancements to enhance the overall security posture.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications such as CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Microsoft Security suite, and endpoint protection.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Experience in network security, application security, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards like SOC, PCI DSS, NIST, ISO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
