Description


We are looking for a Digital Apprentice to support the Operational Innovation Lead in four key pillars within our new Operational Innovation Centre of Excellence: Offshoring, Media Operations, Data Automation and Process Automation.

The role will therefore be extremely varied and will be very exciting, dealing with many new and developing areas of technology.


This role will also involve working with other COE's, specifically Technology & Data Management and the OMG Tech team enabling you to learn about technologies possibly not known to them in their digital media background.

It will also involve collaboration with the OMG UK media agencies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Exploring new or improved systems to improve operational efficiencies within OMG media agencies
  • Meeting and trialling new and existing operational platforms (including financial) to fully understand how they can support OMG
  • Working with existing operational platforms to trial new functionalities and offering constructive feedback on them
  • Analysing current use of platforms and recommending areas for improvement
  • Supporting with internal training documentation
  • Setting up agreed OMG ways of working or templates within platforms
  • Creating dashboards or similar to track usage of various operational tools within the agencies
  • Having regular catchups with 3rd Party suppliers, Directors and senior members of the agencies to understand how we can improve processes and bring innovation into their area
  • Supporting the Operational Lead to oversee the endtoend process and delivery of different workstreams.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English and Maths)

Training to be provided

You will undertake the ground breaking Apprentify Data Technician Level 3 apprenticeship.


We have designed our programme to offer you a distinct route into your career path and specialise in sourcing, formatting, and presenting data securely in a relevant way for analysis using a variety of methods.

During the 13 months of training, you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across 10 carefully structured Modules covering the duties that are required as a Data Analyst:

  • Source data from a collection of already identified trusted sources in a secure manner
  • Collate and format data to facilitate processing and presentation for review and further advanced analysis by others
  • Present data for review and analysis by others, using required medium for example tables, charts and graphs
  • Blend data by combining data from various sources and formats to explore its relevance for the business needs
  • Analyse simple and complex structured and unstructured data to support business outcomes using basic statistical methods to analyse the data.
  • Validate results of analysis using various techniques, e.g cross checking, to identify faults in data results and to ensure data quality
  • Communicate results verbally, through reports and technical documentation and tailoring the message for the audience
  • Store, manage and share data securely in a compliant manner
  • Collaborate with people both internally and externally at all levels with a view to creating value from data
  • Practise continuous self learning to keep up to date with technological developments to enhance relevant skills and take responsibility for own professional development
