Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and forward-thinking Emergency Preparedness Response and Resilience (EPRR) Officer to join our EPRR team. The team is responsible for the provision of professional and expert advice, guidance, information, training, and support to Trust Colleagues on all matters relating to EPRR, this includes business continuity and major incident planning.

Degree in Emergency Planning or equivalent. Diploma in Health EPRR Or Experience of working in the NHS or Public Sector with responsibility for emergency planning and/or Business Continuity.Experience

Working with partners leading on policy review and implementation. Experience of working across staff groups and delivering training to the needs of each specialty. Supporting the delivery of multi-agency exercises that test emergency and business continuity programmes. Support the development of population wide protection plans such as flu pandemic, heatwave, evacuation etc. Responsibility for a range of policy interpretation, implementation and policy development. Facilitation of debrief and after action reviews.Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of the principles underpinning integrated emergency management. In-depth knowledge of key legislation and guidance underpinning EPRR functions.
