To lead on the liaison relationship between Rise CYP Mental Health services and Primary Care.

Your role will be to support clinical decisions and discussions for CYP who are not known to Rise services or those who are open to Rise Mental health care so as to support GPs who need advice.


You will lead in the approach to review CYP referred from primary care and assess where there needs can be best met.

Your role will involve offering professional advice, joint support, and advice to aid discussions on CYP needs in primary care who have been discharged or not engaged with Rise services, ensuring that the needs of the CYP are navigated to the right place alongside the GP.


The role will provide an opportunity to support primary care and increase access for clinically evidence based interventions for mild to moderate MH needs of CYP.

The roles will enhance CYP journeys and create better joint working across primary care and CYP mental health care services.

The CYP MH ARRS aspiration is to deliver early intervention MH care to CYP and their families with expert help from one easy access point within their community.

The team will be hosted by the Rugby PCN for the Rugby CYP population. You will be working alongside the GP practices delivering care to CYP in their own community.


As the first CYP MH ARRS team across the county of Warwickshire you will also be leading on informing future models and input into the development of a newly invested opportunity.


Alongside the embedded youth worker you will a key role in the development and collaborative links with the voluntary sector community provision.

This will include providing supervision of clinical cases as required.


As a CYP MH ARRS worker you will assess, signpost, and offer short term interventions for children, young people, and their families for their mental health, ensuring that they get the best possible care and outcomes.

You will also work alongside VSCE Youth workers to support CYP being connected into their community offering longer term recovery and positive mental health.

The new CYP MH ARRS service will come under the Rise umbrella of CYP Mental health services.

RISE is a family of NHS-led services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people CYP in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Together, we aim to build resilience and empower our CYP children and young people (as well as the adults in their lives) to know where to go for help and advice.

Enhance the skills and capacity in primary care and VCS through training and facilitation of joint working

  • Improve access to mental health services for service users and carers at the first point of contact as required.
  • Participate in receiving and screening referrals that the Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner can then complete a Mental health assessment and complete comprehensive risk and evidenced based decisions.
