Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and capable Autism Support Worker to join our highly-regarded school in Gateshead. This full-time role is available throughout the academic year, providing stability for students with complex needs on the Autistic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to students with autism in both group and one-on-one settingsAssist with classwork as neededImplement effective behaviour management strategiesAssist students with their daily routinesCollaborate with the team to develop Education Healthcare Plans (ECHP)

Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker (preferred but not required)A positive and encouraging attitudeExperience in behaviour management
