Key Responsibilities:
Process and accurately record all supplier invoices in the purchase ledger system.
Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Prepare and process supplier payments, including BACS and cheque payments.
Reconcile supplier statements and address any variances or issues.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries and disputes.
Assist in month-end closing activities and the preparation of financial reports.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
