Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division are working with our clients, a global manufacturing organisation based in the North Lanarkshire area recruit a Training Officer on a permanent basis.

This role is based on-site.

You will be responsible for working with the Site Management team to develop and executive the L&D Training Strategy.

Responsibilities Include

  • Work with Operations Management team to understand business objectives and develop site L&D Training Strategy and Training Cycle. This will include succession planning and career development planning.
  • Work with internal Stakeholders to identify skill gaps.
  • Perform capability assessments.
  • Manage the endtoend processes of the Training Cycle, including content creation, delivery, and evaluations using various training methods.
  • Identify and oversee apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Track and analyse training data, providing insights for monthly and annual reporting which will include making future recommendations.
  • Control to the training budget and manage thirdparty training providers.
  • Provide support and guidance to Department Managers to support talent development.
  • Continue to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Keep up to date with current learning and development technologies and associated legislative.

Experience Required

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a similar L&D &/or Training role, ideally this experience will include working in a manufacturing, production, supply chain environment.
  • Experience of working in a varied, handson and operational training role that will not only including planning and organisation, strategy development, content creation but also delivering training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, this should include influencing a variety of individuals, Stakeholder management and presenting to groups.
  • Good level of IT skills, this should include knowledge of training database and MS Office specifically PowerPoint.
