Duties:

  • Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans for residents
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety of residents at all times
  • Support residents in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a care home or similar setting is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide the best possible care for seniors
  • Proficient in using basic IT systems for documentation purposes
