The Commissioning Team's key role is to maximise income for the Trust (circa £M) and a Commissioning Assistant is needed to assist the busy team with a range of tasks.

The main elements of these are responding to commissioner challenges, being the point of reference for authorisations, establishing the responsible commissioner, completing ad-hoc queries as well as supporting the monthly commissioning cycle

To do this interesting and varied job you must have a logical approach, the ability to build excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and be skilled in Microsoft Office.

Use of hospital patient administration systems would be an advantage.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community.

We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence.

These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
