SUMMARY:


The Quality Inspector role is Goods Inwards based and responsible for the inspection of product to ensure compliance to requirements.

This includes GI Inspection, verification of in-coming FAIR's, Product inter-stage buy off and non-conformance investigation. The role reports directly to the Quality Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Management System

  • Understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 (First Article Inspection Reports).
  • Understanding of traceability requirements.

Example day to day activities:

  • Product Inspection
  • Liaising with Goods Inwards on Deliveries via internal delivery schedule to meet targets
  • Internal ERP system
  • Interstage and final Buy Off
  • Supplier compliance (Traceability Paperwork compliance)
  • Supplier FAIR approval
  • Understanding Drawing Requirements
  • Tooling & Calibration
Safety

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively leading the efforts to create and maintain a Zero Harm work place culture.
  • Support, submit and carry out Good Spot safety reporting (H&S Walks)
IT Skills

  • IT skills
  • High level of skill required e.g. MS word, excel, database etc.
Collaboration

  • Seen as an example for safety, quality, work ethic, and positive communication with team members
  • Liaise as required with other disciplines e.g. Procurement, Engineering and Management

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High level computer skills using MS Office packages and relevant quality systems.
  • Able to demonstrate good team working with multiskilled teams.
  • Proven experience in working with others.
  • Recognizes and exhibits behaviors of the businesses core values.
  • Looks for opportunities to help or be of service to other departments
  • Ability to understand and be familiar with Safety regulations/standards in the workplace.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Ability interpret drawings and specifications with a good eye for detail
  • Understanding of Lean principals
  • AS9102 FAIR experience
