About the Department:

The BI & Performance Service serves as the foundational strategic intelligence hub, propelling change and efficiency by delivering high-quality, precise, and timely business intelligence and performance data throughout the council. This diverse scope of work makes it an exciting and distinctive workplace.

The department has been at the forefront of developing innovative performance tools and data products, including a forward-looking 5-year Data & BI strategy. The impact of this work is profound, driving the council's vision to evolve into a more data-centric organization. Business intelligence provided here directs strategic decision-making, assisting senior management, elected officials, and various teams across different domains.

Responsibilities:

Step into the role of BI & Performance Business Partner for Adults and Housing at Dorset Council during this transformative phase. Your mission involves enhancing relationships with internal and external stakeholders by leveraging communication skills. Dive deep into shaping services through intelligent insights and ensure top-notch outcomes for individuals.

Your role will bridge the Corporate BI and Performance Service with the directorate, offering support for strategic initiatives like the Council Plan and key transformative programs.

Tap into your experience to develop creative BI & Data solutions that address various challenges in insight, intelligence, and reporting. Collaborate closely with the internal Performance & Analytics team to drive improvements in reporting and performance within the Adults & Housing directorate.

Collaborate with strategic leadership to shape BI, Data, and Performance reporting using new data applications and analytics. Leverage your expertise in Adults & Housing reporting to boost performance through enhanced reporting and customer-focused contributions.

Engage closely with the Adults and Housing leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement and strategic implementation of Business Intelligence. Offer valuable insights, constructive challenges, and align directorate performance with overarching strategic goals.

Liaise with key stakeholders such as senior management, project teams, and digital colleagues to ensure activities align with the council's strategic objectives. Your involvement will help steer the future course of the central Business Intelligence and Performance service.
