We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, friendly and capable individual to join our team at Shin Gi Tai Martial Arts Academy.

We are a continually developing academy in Basingstoke and we run classes on a full time timetable.


If you have admin and customer service skills alongside a positive attitude to maintaining the highest standards of communication, customer service and ongoing improvement this may be the perfect place for you to thrive.

Working alongside the management team and a team of coaches you will develop and increase your skills to provide our customers with consistently excellent service.

You will have mentoring support in your role and the opportunity to take advantage of a number of in work perks which include access to areas of our timetabled classes, training and development opportunities and wellbeing checks with personal development being the centre of our thriving and dynamic Martial Arts Academy.


We need a hard working and friendly addition to our team who can assist with the smooth and efficient running of our club.

You must be able to work confidently and efficiently with members of the public from young children to mature adults.

In this customer facing role you will be representing our growing and developing business, right where it matters most, with the customer.


Key activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain effective and positive communications with our members in person and via our electronic communication systems including following up on absences, chasing outstanding payments, and dealing with general queries.
  • Communicate with customer leads to book, support and enroll them onto suitable courses then maintain positive and engaging communication throughout their membership.
  • Promoting and selling products and services over the telephone and face to face with members/parents. Liaising with other staff to fulfil orders and services.
  • Maintain, on a day to day basis the relevant data on our computerised customer membership system including ensuring data is correct, current and entered accurately and that records are kept uptodate.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of supplies and customer documentation.
  • Process financial transactions for memberships and/or products ensuring financial records are accurately maintained.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
  • Work with marketing and comms staff to support in continual business improvement
  • Plan, attend and minute meetings.
  • Ensure adequate level of communication is maintained with colleagues.
  • Deal with and manage feedback/concerns in a professional manner, ensuring these are reported in accordance with club guidelines and that answers are delivered to the customer in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Maintain an organised and tidy and positive workspace/environment.
  • Ensure that customer services are delivered in the most efficient, cost effective and customer focused manner.
  • To provide assistance when requested with other aspects of business, such as marketing campaigns, including attendance at promotional events.

We are looking for a team asset who, while working to our club ethos, will work on their own initiative whilst following systems and procedures to ensure that all members are fully and equally supported by the club.


Previous customer service and admin skills are essential for this role along with a confident and positive telephone manner and the ability to ensure customers are welcomed and supported whilst actively working to develop the business through sales and communications.


Essential
Administrative and customer service experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Confident telephone skills to sell our services

Confident IT skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage own workload and manage time effectively.

Positive attitude, engaging personality and the need to provide excellence in all areas

5 GCSE's grade A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths

Desirable
First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Full DBS check will be required.
