Why this job matters

  • The purpose of this role is to utilise knowledge of Global Products, quote to cash (customers and suppliers) and Business Assurance best practice to develop an understanding of business strategy, products, order architectures and supplyside contracting.
  • Using this insight, the role holder will inform our risk assessment, assurance controls and validation to help define our critical focus on BT Business' multi£Bn external cost expenditure and Source to Pay processes. It will develop and inform GBA Controls Coverage Strategy, and you will be a focal point for expanding this activity.
    Responsibilites
  • Develop, review and create improvement insight on existing policies, procedures and approaches, to support end to end process or Control development and ongoing
  • Develop technical, commercial and product knowledge to handle queries, supporting the identification and mitigation of relevant operational risk
  • Review data to protect its integrity and accuracy, recording and sharing performance and feedback as appropriate
  • Gather and analyse qualitative and quantitative information, using basic technical cababilities to ensure results and insights are reported with accuracy, in a timely manner and in conformance with standards
  • Provides regular and adhoc reporting as required by the business and supports the development of short and longterm plans
  • Support operational risk controls, development of new controls and testing of the effectiveness and robustness of end to end customer quote to invoice order journey models and options for the different procurement segments, products and services and offers insight and advice on a range of issues

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of managing, assessing and mitigating risk and previously worked in a vendor/partner management, supplier performance procurement, audit, service management, risk consultancy, assurance or business improvement role
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and an advance practitioner in managing Source to Pay and Invoice to Pay processes and data propagation through order/provision/service/billing systems
  • Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment but with the ability to innovate
  • Experience of data analytics tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult with stakeholders to achieve results
