The Individual


You will already be an experienced and enthusiastic HGV driver who has the desire to work with a successful team.

You will be professional in your approach, and have an interest in providing exceptional customer service. You want to be part of a winning team seeking to grow the business.

Main tasks:

  • Maintaining good relationships with customers as drivers are ambassadors for the company.
  • Assisting shop/yard staff in loading lorry. Strapping and sheeting the vehicle as necessary.
  • Checking the load before going out on the road to ensure correct items and that they are safely secured.
  • Checking the route plan.
  • Delivering goods to customers premises/site.
  • Collecting cash on delivery if appropriate and placing in the security box provided.
  • Administration of delivery tickets back at the branch.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle and general maintenance.
  • Completing defects sheet of vehicle if necessary.
  • To assist the company and any other department/branch as and when required.
  • Awareness of own safety and operate in a safe manner at all times.
  • Complying with company safety rules.
