Job Overview:


As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning all logistics activities, ensuring the on-time dispatch of customer orders and maintaining a high standard of accuracy in shipping documentation.

You will collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, spare parts, and QA,, as well as third-party providers, to resolve any issues efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists and commercial invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer purchase orders.
  • Produce and complete all necessary documentation for transportation by air, sea, and road freight to global destinations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, production, and packing departments to schedule collections and agree on suitable dates and times.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their shipping preferences and specific requirements, providing support throughout the shipping process.
  • Assist drivers during collection, including signing collection notes and CMRs.
  • Book collections on parcel operators' websites and organise imports from outside the UK. ( select
- compare
- negotiate rates)

  • Provide monthly reports on outgoing shipments to the Operations Director and collaborate with the Finance department to ensure accuracy in shipping document values.
  • Liaise with the Production Administration regarding shipment of warranty parts and goods uplift from customer sites.
  • Track and update the status of outgoing shipments, providing reports to relevant departments.
  • Provide backup support for the Administration department as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products ( excel, word, outlook).
  • Proficient in data entry and analysis
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms, Rules of Origin, and customs procedures for both inward and outward processing.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
