DEA are looking for a Technical Records Assistant on a 12 month fixed term basis to provide administrative support in the control of all aircraft maintenance records under the company Part M and Part 145, maintenance and continuing airworthiness management approvals.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing/maintaining and updating all aircraft records on databases, spreadsheets and physical logbooks.
  • Track of all, relevant, new airworthiness information.
  • Input data and update various software programmes with technical data.
  • Produce aircraft maintenance work packs, to company procedures.
  • Liaise with Part 145 organisations carrying out maintenance on behalf of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) and the issue of work orders and work packs.
  • Ensure aircraft records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and archive documents within the technical library.
  • Maintain relationships with other departments to ensure effective communication to allow the business to flow efficiently.
  • Answering phonecalls, taking messages and directing the queries to the correct member of staff.

Technical experience and qualifications:


Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used software packages such as Google Sheets.


Skills profile:

  • Demonstrates ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates the ability to multitask whilst maintaining accuracy with a good attention to detail.
  • Good team working skills but able to work autonomously when required.
  • Communicates effectively (written and oral) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise report writing.
  • Experience of developing and building relationships to meet business objectives.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Company's health, safety and environmental procedures, ensuring they are always implemented and respected
  • Proactive 'can do' approach to problem solving and providing creative solutions
  • Holds a current UK Driving Licence as there may be a requirement to travel
