Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in the aerospace, defense, and marine sector. This role will focus on sustaining activities related to legacy products, driving advancements, and serving as a pivotal figure in our engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in product development, improvement, and innovation, contributing to our commitment to excellence and technological advancement in these industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product configuration and development for legacy marine and oil & gas products.
  • Analyze existing products, strategize improvements, enhance performance, and optimize costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth product introduction and enhancement.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototype testing for proposed modifications.
  • Provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to design, adhering to standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation ensuring compliance and traceability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends for strategic product development.
What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or related field; .
  • 10+ years of product engineering or R&D experience in aerospace, defense, or marine industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
  • Proven track record in project leadership and innovation within collaborative environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance in relevant sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in cross-functional settings.
