Thank you for your interest in joining our growing #TeamPublicHealth in the North East. This post is permanent, 37.5 hours per week (AfC) / 40 hours per week (Medical).

You will be surrounded by leaders seeking to transform their systems to improve the health of the population. Leaders who aspire to put population health at the centre of everything they do. Leaders who are seeking the right person, with the right skills, attitude, and ambition to make change happen.

We have two leadership roles to make our team complete.

One looking inwards to support us strike a better balance between enabling wellness and responding to illness in our health and social care system.

The other will work with our partners to support us in changing our system approach to community led health.

We have several external learning partners - our local universities, national bodies such as Public Health Scotland, Scottish Government and the King's Fund to help us grow and learn as individuals and as a team.


For Medical applicants:


Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview.

Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
