The Waste & Service Pool Co-ordinator Position at Speciality Steels

  • Plan and co-ordinate activities for the Waste and Service Pool teams
  • Utilise a multi-disciplined work force at the Speciality Steels Rotherham site and provide support to other business locations

Responsibilities and Benefits:

  • Lead in directing and controlling waste processing operations
  • Manage licensed waste disposal facilities
  • Assist in overseeing waste contracts with external suppliers
  • Provide technical advice on Waste Management and compliance with legislation
  • Engage with Production areas and develop Service Level agreements
  • Responsible for planning and co-ordination of support services to business Production departments
  • Act as the legally designated 'fit and proper person' for on-site waste disposal facilities
  • Lead the implementation of Waste Services policy and development of waste processing plant
  • Implement safe working practices to comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • WAMITAB Level 4 Certificate in Waste and Resource Management
  • General education with IT skills for record keeping and report writing
  • Knowledge of site services, production operations, and Environment legislation

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm
