We are the Cambian Group, the largest independent provider of care and education for children and young people.

We have 21 homes across the Preston region, and are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and caring individuals to join our team and continue enhancing the lives of the young people under our care.

The young individuals in our care range between the ages of 8-18 years and have a variety of behavioral and emotional needs.

As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of their daily lives, and the positive influence you will have is immeasurable.

Tasks

Shift Pattern: Shifts typically start at 7.30am and end at 10pm or 11pm (followed by a sleep in) on a rotating rota basis - 1 day on 2 days off, or 2 days on 4 days off.

Every day is unique at the Cambian Group, but here is an insight into what a day in the life of one of our Team Leaders may involve:

  • Leading shifts and standing in for the Registered Manager when necessary
  • Ensuring that our dedicated team of Residential Care Workers are updated with all required training and aiding in their personal growth
  • Communicating with the on-site team, making sure individual care plans are understood and implemented
  • Maintaining accurate written records in logs and files to track information and enable regular evaluations
  • Participating in team and staff meetings to encourage good communication and staff development
  • Offering support and care to the young individuals in our care
  • Assisting young people in their education preparation or engagement in schooling
  • Accompanying young people to and from School or College
  • Preparing meals and maintaining the home throughout the day to create a positive environment for the young individuals in our care
  • Organizing and leading social activities

Requirements

Must possess a full UK driving licence

Must have the aspiration to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent in Children & Younger Peoples workforce

12 months of experience in a Residential setting is highly preferred, but we also welcome applications from individuals at the beginning of their career journey

DBS and reference checks will be conducted in accordance with government regulations and best recruitment practices.
