You will be joining a fast paced, but highly rewarding team where you will play an integral role in making a significant difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children in Gloucestershire.
As part of this unique team, you will be responsible for planning, purchasing and monitoring homes/placements and support packages for Children in Care.
The Role
- Identifying the best placement and support assuring best value for money.
- Provide advice, evidence and research to support decisions including.
- Keep up to date with relevant policy, best practice and legislative changes to allocated outcome areas.
- Liaise directly with social workers to understand and plan the support package/placement required.
- Lead and undertake project work using project planning methods.
- Provide support for procurement and commissioning exercises.
The Person
- Working in a commissioning environment as commissioner or provider.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Customerfocused nature to build working relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven project support skills and experience of working to tight, pressurised deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
