We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Commissioning Officer to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As a key member of our placement finding team, you will play a vital role in finding suitable homes for children in care.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with social workers and providers to match children with suitable foster families or residential care settings.
- Lead on specific areas of placement finding, such as residential care, and develop effective strategies to meet the needs of children and young people.
- Review profiles for children in need of care and develop personalized plans to ensure their placement needs are met.
- Manage a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely and effective placement arrangements.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the placement finding process.
- Participate in daily MS Teams calls and contribute to a lively and supportive team environment.
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people in care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
