We are currently looking for an Exams Officer to become part of our team and play a vital role in overseeing exams and assessments within our educational institution. This role calls for a highly organized individual with a sharp attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring a smooth and just examination process.

About the Position:

  • Compile and share the examination timetable with all relevant parties.
  • Create seating arrangements and coordinate with the Premises Manager for exam locations and logistics.
  • Distribute individual candidate schedules and information, addressing any timetable conflicts.
  • Receive and validate exam papers and materials, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with exam board standards.
  • Manage and oversee exams, including coursework, oral assessments, and practical evaluations.
  • Ensure prompt sending of completed exam scripts and manage center inspections.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee invigilators, conducting orientations, training sessions, and handling work schedules and checks.
  • Share exam details with stakeholders through the school's website.
  • Coordinate special accommodations for public exams in partnership with the SEND Manager.
  • Maintain records of all exam center policies and conduct mock exams.
  • Handle exam result procedures, post-exam processes, and assist in statistical result analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in an educational environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the guidelines of the Joint Council for Qualifications is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and standard office software.
