Join us as a Trade Origination & Advisory Associate Director

  • We'll need you to deliver a best in class customer experience, making sure our customers receive the best trade, supply chain finance and working capital solutions for their needs
  • Sitting within Transaction Services & Trade, you'll be working in the Trade Origination & Advisory team in the Corporate Banking & Structured Finance function
  • This is an opportunity to build great relationships with key stakeholders across our bank, helping you to grow your career and network

What you'll do:


Day-to-day, you'll be securing business from new and existing customers, including large corporations, institutions and financial institutions, while retaining and growing our current business.


With strategy at the forefront of your mind, you'll be managing and delivering against business development and business retention financial targets at individual, sector and business levels.


As well as this, you'll be:

  • Embedding customer opportunity plans in collaboration with your team
  • Leading and delivering client pitches, proposals and responses to tender documents
  • Supporting the transaction delivery process from endtoend and delivering on financial targets linked to key sales campaigns
  • Identifying origination opportunities to deliver optimum benefits to the wider Transaction Services & Trade function
  • Helping the wider team with the strategic development of our business while coaching and developing less experienced members of your team to help them succeed in their roles

The skills you'll need:

We're looking for someone with experience in the transaction banking business. You'll have knowledge of trade finance, supply chain finance and working capital products and solutions. As well as this, you'll have an excellent customer focus and good interpersonal and relationship management skills.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • A proven track record in an origination role, where direct accountability for financial targets is a key focus
  • Experience in developing business for new and existing clients by using a sales management framework
  • Proven operational risk acumen
  • Knowledge of the regulatory agenda in the financial services market
