Job Summary

The post available within KMPT seeks a dynamic and self-motivated administrator for the Liaison Psychiatry Team. The role, based at Maidstone Hospital, requires covering day shifts and may involve supporting another West Kent Hospital site. Note that patient contact is not part of this position.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide comprehensive admin support to the Team/Service
  • Work with and alongside other Administrators
  • Responsible for re-ordering stocks of office supplies
  • Responsible for replenishing forms/leaflets/documents in the workplace
  • Responsible for caseload management
  • Support Team Managers with staffing and booking agency staff
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date service data records
  • Collate and send agendas, take and produce meeting minutes
  • Use Trust systems to record and check patient information
  • Monitor teams training and book as required
  • Maintain and update information noticeboards within the office
  • Work under pressure and to specified deadlines
  • Implement policies as directed for the department

Person Specification

Training and Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE in Maths and English Grade C or above
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 in Administration

Desirable

  • 5 GCSEs Grade C or above

Experience

Essential

  • Previous administrative/office work experience for a minimum of 2 years

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience would be advantageous

  • Basic Excel skills
  • Prepare high-quality documents using Word
  • Use Outlook for calendar and appointments
  • Minute taking experience
  • Prioritize and organize workload
  • Good keyboard skills
