About the Trust


East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust provide services to the local community to around 500,000 people, with the regional cancer centre supporting around 2 million people.

They provide care to the community with an annual budget of around £350 million andmore than 5,000 staff.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • To add all patients referred for an endoscopy procedure onto EMS and Lorenzo waiting lists in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and current detail concerning patient / consultant demographics are correct and procedure details updated
  • Book patients for day case / inpatient Endoscopy in accordance with cancer / DMO1 targets and the trust access policy
  • Liaise with patients on their Endoscopy booking via telephone, ensuring all appropriate letters and supporting information is provided
  • Assist with any relevant telephone enquiries relating to the patient's admission, expected discharges times and any queries they may have.
  • When removing patients from the Endoscopy Waiting List in line with the trust access policy, ensure correct communication is sent to referring clinician / clinical team

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
